Not listenable imo, and don't think it will added to SST because of all the singing _________________ "True friendship is sitting together in silence and feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had."

Looks like we already had a similar poll: http://www.streamingsoundtracks.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3338&highlight=
Voted "no" in both polls. I'm not particular fan of musicals at SST, sorry. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

I agree and with very few exceptions - musicals made into movies... _________________ 'He looked at her, and being a man whom pity deeply stirred, it seemed to him that her loveliness amid her grief would pierce his heart.' —Faramir's thoughts on Éowyn |

This was made into a movie, with a virtually identical cast. So if you didn't like the Broadway recording, nothing musically is going to change your mind for the film soundtrack.
I personally don't think this score is very good. Though heaven knows we have all sorts of quality on this station, I think the contender would have to be stronger musically to break through the "stage musical" barrier. |

I did not listenned to it and I really understand Molossus' comment ("I'm not particular fan of musicals at SST"), but there is some already as I considers all Disney from Little Mermaid to Lion King as musicals like Little Shop Of Horrors from Menken & Ashman IS a Musical (originally from Broadway) like Beauty and The Beast from the same composers. I would like other "Musicals" like those to be added... Like Sweeney Todd was recently added. Nobody can say that Sweeney is not a Musical. _________________ Evan.

I forgot to say that I have no problem listening to Songs among classical scores but I feel not the same regarding some Simpsons songs as I am not a big Fan, I feel better for Kermit and Friends choir...
Thanks for reading.
And now for something completely different. _________________ Evan.

SST already HAS musicals. Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof and many more. And that's without all the Disney, as previously mentioned. I don't see any reason why another one couldn't or wouldn't be acceptable. |

I personally would love to see it added because as Winter said we already have other musicals here but I don't think we will ever get it. Just something we have to accept and move on. _________________ Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die tomorrow. - James Dean |

Maybe it wouldn't be acceptable because JERIC doesn't like it. He does have final say, and given the way the previous request for this show, which actually was a request for the movie and not the Broadway cast album, languished without result, that might be your answer.
BTW, Winter, welcome to the forums! |
Thanks for the welcome.
In my opinion, the Broadway album is a more complete collection of the music. But it's possible that someone just doesn't want it added. If we had enough support it might happen anyway, but with opinions so divided I will just have to accept that it isn't likely to show up. |
