I was watching Shaolin soccer the other day, which is a hillarious movie...but anyway towards the end when the girl stops the last kick I noticed a piece of music that sounded really familiar. It sounded almost identical to Hans Zimmer's Lion King. To be more specific... the track is "king of pride rock" and about 4:20 into the song. Is it just me or did someone rip off Zimmer's work? Did anyone notice this? |

mmm... im really not in favour of americans who take a FOREGIGN film and re-moulding it into a film for americans. whats the point? its a foregin film.
to that point. hanz zimmer has over ridden raymond wong's original oriental and original score entirely!!!!! |

I have seen the movie several months ago. It's hilarious indeed. Unfortunately, at that time, I didn't even know who Hans Zimmer was (OMG!!) but my friend has the dvd maybe sometimes I can listen to it again and tell you... _________________ Always wondered what a French photo album could look like?

Oh I don't know Joyrider... Woody Allen did a great job with "What's New Pussycat?". He turned a campy japanese action flick into a comedy! _________________ "It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him." ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

Has anyone compared the exact section of the Shaolin Soccer soundtrack with Hans Zimmer’s King of Pride Rock side-by-side to confirm whether the melodies or harmonies are really that similar?
