|
Hey there, guys!
This is the first time for me to post an
"add - yes or no"-post, so please forgive me if I forget to mention something of importance for this matter.
I've noticed that a certain score of the late master Jerry Goldsmith (1929-2004), "The Final Conflict" which I'm sure many of you filmscore fans know well, is represented with the old Varese Sarabande record on SST, though a DELUXE EDITION with far better sound quality and new released cues is already on the market.
I've got the CD myself and I love this album by all means, and I think it would be a great enrichment for everyone here to get in contact with it.
THE FINAL CONFLICT - THE DELUXE EDITION

This score really is a masterpiece!
So what do you think, friends?? |

bp, no worries about missing anything! A very impressive request post!
Any expanded version of a Goldsmith score is an absolute YES as far as I'm concerned...
The only thing I argue with myself about over expanded versions is: do I spend my money on a few extra tracks on a great score or do I buy a whole brand new one?
Anyway, I voted yes. |

Usually I'd agree with you, mellow!
But in this case I also think it's about the far better sound quality of the Deluxe Edition... nevertheless thanks for your positive reply! |

I forgot to mention the length of the album.
The CD has a running time of 62:40! |

Like various others have said, if it's Jerry Goldsmith that we're talking about, then it sounds good to me! |
