Removed from the playlist:
Fantasia - Various Artists
Sound quality is extremely poor and the classical tracks can be found elsewhere.
Lost In Space (40th Anniversary Edition) [2 Tracks]
- Blast Off Into Space [15:58]
- Welcome Stranger [17:32]
Poor sound quality and tracks are too long and not worth the time to cut. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

First set of removals are actually "moves". The following albums have been removed from SST and added to our new station, Entranced.FM which officially opens January 23rd:
Opera Sauvage (not a soundtrack)

Opera sauvage is a soundtrack of a documentary by Frederic Rossif

Just a panic question - there is an album called When the Wind Blows - it has a rating of about 1.5. However, there is an excellent song by Genesis (which was nominated for an oscar, or was that grammy, not sure) called 'The Brazilian'. I would hate to see that axed just because the rest of the album isn't that great. To summate, in some cases, the album isn't that great but some of the songs are quite awesome.
However, I agree with the against on Buffy (though I do have a mute button) and FZ which is just plain awful. _________________ 'It was irritating to me that I should need money. I shouldn't need it.' Ed, The January Man |

When the Wind blows isn't going anywhere. I think the reason why it has such a lot rating is because some of the tracks were together a long time ago which caused a little bit of annoyance. since I split them I haven't heard any complaints. I was thinking of resetting the albums rating.
I'm not sure about FZ or Buffy yet. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Wanted to say the same thing. I am in favor of resetting that album's ratings.
The 32 minute track caused the 1.5 rating |

All the 1.0 ratings have been removed and the imported rating from the old ratings system.

I second DGMurdockIII. I used to go to SkyFM and live365, but they don't allow you to contribute songs, or shape the playlist.
Hopefully, we can spread the word on SST around the 'net _________________ 03 Feb 10 - 18:21:14 > taryn: LD Yes mooooood music Cool |

Doh, I can't find the thread for spotting messed up songs (crackling, popping, etc) even though I know there used to be one... so I post here:
Peter Gunn #1. Peter Gunn by Mancini (the first song on the soundtrack, named the same as the title of the movie) has a good bit of static in it. |

Thanks gecko. There is a sticky in the Playlist forum for requesting/playing bugs but submitting an album correction would probably be best in this situation. I've taken note of this so no need to do submit one this time. Thanks again! _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Yup. Thanks for catching this, Gecko!
Fixed it, and re-encoded all tracks to lossless. |
