There are half a dozen videos for that song. I like this one best, for some reason:

By the way, Star Wars for me. Princess Leia is, and always will be, my hero. |

I've seen that before, it's hilarious! _________________ "All you have to do is to decide what to do with the time that is given to you..." - Gandalf the Grey

Ok, so to make this even geekier, what about Sg-1? |

As you can probably guess by my nick I'm a big Star Wars fan, that being said I don't mind Trek either.
It is really apples and oranges.
Stargate also rocks too, because I think it is an interesting bridge between the two styles of SW and ST. |

|
Before the new films came out, Star Wars simply crushed Star Trek in the coolness wars in every way possible - from music, to tech, to storyline.
Now, Star Wars is still ahead, but by feet, not by miles. Thanks, Lucas!
A GOOD Star Trek series could shrink the distance further, but I don't see it happening. Star Trek is an exhausted franchise, and Lucas has ground Star Wars into mundane tripe.
I'm not sure if a new space epic could bring new breath into the SF field: witness the failure of Babylon 5 and Firefly/Serenity. Battlestar Galactica is left holding the fort for now.
Maybe in 2030, someone can take the Star Wars epic to new heights. I can only hope. |

This is old news for most Star Trek fans …
… just wanted to say kudos to the casting department for landing Zachary Quinto (our fave “Heroes” villain Sylar) to play the young Dr. Spock in new Star Trek XI movie, due out Dec 2008.

Hmmm, which tired old plot line will they dig up to re-hash this time? _________________ "If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.... I get most joy in life out of music."

Probably something rehashed like The Simpsons Movie, but hey, I liked that one too. _________________ When all else fails, consider time travel.

I like both of them for different reasons, like others have said, it's like comparing apples and oranges. I grew up with the original Star Trek, loved TNG, got confused trying to follow DS9 (I only saw it sporadically), liked Voyager (even though it was a rip off of Lost in Space and Space 1999), disliked Enterprise because of what TPTB did to the Vulcans.
I like Star Wars because I was also young when the original trilogy came out. I even saw the special editions and the prequels.
Both series have some cool scenes and some really bad ones . I am kind of hesitant about the new Trek film that they are working on. I have not seen a backstory film so far that didn't really add a whole lot to the story and took away some of the magic and mystery of the original (that includes the SW prequels). |
