Ok, I think this album could potentially be really awesome, but I have not heard it yet because it wont be released until February 20th. I have only heard Metallica's version of "Ecstasy of Gold" and it is pretty good.

Here is the list of songs and artists:
1. Knew I Loved You - Celine Dion
2. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - Quincy Jones featuring Herbie Hancock
3. Once Upon a Time in the West - Bruce Springsteen
4. Conradiana - Andrea Bocelli
5. The Ecstacy of Gold - Metallica
6. Maléna - Yo-Yo Ma
7. Come Sail Away - Renée Fleming
8. Gabriel's Oboe - Ennio Morricone
9. Conmigo - Daniela Mercury featuring Eumir Deodato
10. La Luz Prodigiosa - Dulce Pontes
11. Love Affair - Chris Botti
12. Je Cangerais d'Avis - Vanessa and The O's
13. Lost Boys Calling -Roger Waters
14. The Tropical Variation - Ennio Morricone
15. Could Heaven Be - Denyce Graves
16. Addio Monti - TaroMonti - Taro Hakase
17. Cinema Paradiso - Ennio Morricone |

Nice post, Jables2002!
More information can be found in this thread: Ennio and Metallica
Personally, I've mixed feelings about this album. I remember that a decent version of the Ecstasy of Gold can be found on Metallica's S&M, but I have no idea about the rest. I chose the third option
*edit: As there is a poll for the addition of the soundtrack to the playlist, Cal and I decided to unlock this thread. Sorry for the inconvenience!*

Well after listening to the samples, I think I would vote 'no'. I think there is some good music on it, but most of the music is already on SST in original form and for me that is preferable. Just my two cents worth. |

I tend to agree with nate, but I voted 'not sure.'

Tributes are nice and complimentary.....
But.... as was stated earlier.... The Originals are Superior,
so why go with anything Less ? ? _________________ Emergency Command Override 100375 ---- "READY WHEN YOU ARE SGT. PEMBRY ...." |

erm..... I'm not sure. I would have to listen... Oh look! That's a poll option I think the originals are great. They'll be hard to beat. _________________ I do not wake up with thoughts of control and rebellion, but thoughts of purpose and righteousness and the empowerment to fulfill those convictions that define me. |

I've heared the Metallica version and it didn't convince me.
I Love Morricone's work, but I'm afraid of hearing this kind of versions.
So, a 'no' for me. _________________ There is no problem that can't be solve without any solution |
