Razz I hope it's OK for me to post this here.... wasn't sure where it belonged, so I guessed.... anyways....

Hey, hey, hey out there!

Lately I've been dabbling in something that has been (up until now) a passing interest for me. Below are links to some MP3s that I've put together.

They are my first attempts at doing mixes....
I'm looking for some feedback... good or bad.

-- I've moved the files and given them their own page on my website, which you can get to from here
    - Storm on the Horizon
    - Tripping Through
    - Aurial
And I expect any and all feedback to be honest. If you don't like it, say so, but at least say why.... if you think it's crap... say so... I'll be the first admit that it's probably not the best, but given what I've got, I don't think it's half bad (may only be half good...not sure what the ether half is though). I welcome any and all criticisms... anything that might help improve.

OK.

I listened to the three tracks and my internet connection went down... Laughing

Now my three cents:
  • "Storm on the Horizon" is too long, IMO, and not very 'connected'. To me it felt a bit like it was two or three shorter tracks.
  • I rather liked "Tripping Through", maybe because it has guitar or something that simulates guitar in it... what do I know.
  • "Aurial" has the same rhythm, beat, track or whatever you call it as "Storm on the Horizon". For some reason I didn't much care for that. *shrug*
I listened to the tracks exactly once, so I suppose there'smuch that I missed. It's not the kind of music I usually listen to either.
All in all I don't think the tracks are amazing but they aren't so bad that the casual uninformed listener (meaning me) wants to puncture her eardrums...

Anyway, glad to be (un)helpful. Wink

I swear, the connection being dropped wasn't my fault.

Cent 1 - Gotcha... that's the kind of stuff I'm looking for.
Cent 2 - Guitars - good... got it... the next one I plan to work on should have more... I like it too.
Cent 3 - Yeah, I reused some of the base tracks form the first one.... I'm trying to get away from it....

I don't claim that they are awsome or amazing in any way shape or form.... they are simply my first forays into this stuff... it's been..... interesting....

Hi AK
Well, I really enjoyed all of them. The timing of everything was good. Like AA mentioned, "Aurial" sound similar to "Storm on the Horizon".
The beats could be varied a little more IMO, but thats just me.
Other then that, they sound awesome!
I'd do some lightsticking to them! lol
