The concert listings for this year's Prom concerts in the UK have just been released.
"Contemporary composers Philip Glass and Michael Nyman will also have concerts dedicated to their work, with a premiere for the latter musician."
The Philip Glass concert is on 12th August and does not appear to include any of his film music, the Michael Nyman concert is on Aug 25th and includes The Draughtsman's Contract and The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, plus a world premiere piece. There is also some John Williams (Jurassic Park & Star Wars) on 1st/2nd August and a complete MGM Film Musicals concert on 1st August
All concerts in the Proms series can be heard live on the internet on BBC Radio 3 or for 7 days afterwards. If you are intending to listen live remember that the times given are UK times (GMT+1).

I went to concert of Glass one and an half year ago. A concert I will always remember. |

arlingirl - yes, you should be able to access any of the bbc radio stations worldwide via the 'net (www.bbc.co.uk/radio) - select the station you want, then ListenLive or ListenAgain for programmes up to 7 days afterwards |
