There are some sample tracks from Dune here:

Once the trailer dropped this week, Twitter was ablaze with people saying that this was going to be the best picture ever, with the best score, and the comment that struck me most is "the score is like nothing you've ever heard."
I doubt those people listen to much score. From these sample tracks, it sounds like a lot of Zimmer synth, plus the "ethnic female wail" that we've been hearing since Gladiator. In some ways it reminds me of Children of Dune, which was influenced by Zimmer, but I preferred the acoustic instruments of that one. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?
