Hello peeps
Its that time again (every leap year or so) where I manage to pull myself together and update the android app streamer.
Also, Google keeps adding more and more requirements about audience, threats, monetary issues, political issues and some target level api sjit.
Minor clean up usually happens, a little refactoring maybe, update libraries and compile for latest android version.
I added support for media buttons the other day (again). This means you can now start and stop the music with your Bluetooth headphones and speakers or what have you.
But; I want more!
1) I want to support android auto - because that would just be awesome!
Mainly because I now have a car with android auto
2) Also, I've never really been completely happy with the UI, which begs the question:
Does anyone ever go back and forth between stations on a regular basis?
Is there really a need to be able to change station fast?
I ask because I am thinking about reworking the UI.
- Maybe move station selection into a submenu of sorts and introduce a play button instead - make it a little more intuitive you see.
- Maybe have the timer be a slider or status bar instead of just numbers.
I've talked about this before, but with Co-pilot helping me doing the dirty work, it seems easier to get back in |
