mmmh, I think it could be Patrick Doyle or Rachel Portman, but I cannot link it to any particular score yet.
Am I on the right track here?

Sorry, but the score is neither composed by Patrick Doyle nor by Rachel Portman.

The track extended a bit further. This should really help to solve this mystery Smile

I was searching amongst Goldsmith scores but I was wrong. It's James Horner score for the American Tail.

Absolutely not. Except Mr Horner did some copying... ehm... was inspired by this score Wink

PS: It's neither Goldsmith nor Horner.
PPS: Which part of An American Tail is this supposed to be?

While still wondering, which part of "An American Tail" is supposed to sound like this, here's the final version of the track-sample. If this doesn't lead to a correct solution, nothing will Wink

So this is supposed to be from "An American Tail", but it's not by James Horner? How is that possible?

Chandler, you misunderstood: it's NOT from An American Tail

Ooops... sorry for the misunderstanding Rolling Eyes

masked_platypus suspected this track to be from "An American Tail", but his suspicion was wrong. The music was neither composed by Jerry Goldsmith nor by James Horner and it is NOT from "An American Tail".

Nevertheless, I am still wondering if masked_platypus could tell us which part of "An American Tail" is supposed to sound like the track-sample, because I could not find anything on the "An American Tail" soundtrack which did (sound like it).

So... What's The Score? Smile

Thanks for the clarification. Got a bit put off by the comment about which track he thought it could be Smile

I have the score/track on the tip of my brain, though... it's extremely familiar, but I just can't place it.

Sorry, I thought it was, cause the main theme is very close to that piece. I shall relisten to it to give you the track I'm thinking of.
I don't have any more clue what this extract is.
