Gert, I am definitely *not* the party room, haha! This is not to say I don't have fun or a good time, but I enjoy sleep as well, as I don't get nearly enough as I want. I have not booked a hotel room yet, as I'm waiting to see if we can get group rates, etc. Whenever you know if you are going or not let me know, even if you'll just be staying one or two nights. If not, no big deal  I'm budgeting for this trip since the beginning of the year so it's all good, sharing with you would just be a big bonus!

Oooh I really want to go this year! I will think about it and let you know. Not sure if I can get over my fear of flying to attend ALSO not sure where we will be in August/September time.

Hello Mr. McCreary,
First let me say that I love you work, your use of taiko drums in the BSG score is just fantastic. I am a member of an online group of film score fans that hang out at www.streamingsoundtracks.com. The station plays film, tv, and video game scores. You rate very highly in listener favorites.
The reason I am writing you is that every Labor Day we have a gathering in LA to attend the John Williams concert at the Hollywood Bowl and are always looking for other activities to attend and certainly people to meet. If you have the time I am sure that the attendees would love to have a meet and greet of some kind, it does not have to be formal or highly planned out. But I know that I am not the only one who would love to meet you even if it is over lunch.
I have no idea how much time you have, or how many fan group requests you get or your plans over that holiday weekend, but if you could spend even a few minutes with us we would appreciate it.

I'm sure people here would chip in to buy his ticket and a +1. Anyone object? I would need to know by May though. That would be awesome! It's $20 to park there but with the stacked lot, i'm sure that once you're parked, you're there for the night. Hopefully he won't be offended by offering our low-end bench seats. |

Ahh that's so awesome you got a response Istagi! Way to take the initiative. I would GLADLY chip in for his ticket! I'm going to try not to get too excited about this. Seeing JW in one weekend is crazy enough as it is. Thanks for your effort Istagi, hopefully it will pay off!
