Also wanted to post on here, Yoshi was in chat on Feb 28 and she said she would come to the dinner before the concert on Saturday. So yay for another member attending! _________________ The right song can turn an emperor into a laughing stock, can bring down dynasties. More good news: I got a mail from conductor Richard Kaufman that he agreed to have our SST-group as guest in the Green Room after the concert for a meet & greet.
Furthermore he seconds my request to the DSO to have our stand present. He also contacted the DSO himself for that and who are they to refuse that \0/
So I better start checking the stand, it's flightcase and a couple of thousand leaflets to pack. _________________

Awesome Dutch - thanks for arranging the meet and greet with Mr. Kaufman!
I found a hotel in the Market Center area close to the Best Western - is there any way we can carpool to dinner then the concert? Let us know what time would be good to meet up.
Also for dinner, I'm ok with any cuisine - Tex-Mex is good. |

Since this is already next weekend, I am curious what time everyone will be arriving in Dallas? I guess just curious if we would all meet up at some location for dinner or beforehand. The drive is just about an hour for me, so would like to know a time frame. Also, I guess I should have looked up a few places near the hall for dinners as that has still not been decided... _________________ The right song can turn an emperor into a laughing stock, can bring down dynasties. Sirius, I sent you my hotel info and number in a PM. What time should we meet up beforehand? Shall I come by the Best Western hotel lobby?
Jaded, I'm arriving Fri. around noon. It would be great if you could identify a place for Saturday's dinner and confer with Sirius and Dutch about setting a time.
I can't believe it's happening so soon! |

Suggested restaurants nearby the symphony hall
The Capital Grille
Stephan Pyles Restaurant
El Fenix
Tei An
Trulucks
Dallas Symphony Website
The symphony site lists a few other restaurants as well.
All different types of food, some more pricey than others. Thats what I saw nearby, but if you like none that I listed do let me know! _________________ The right song can turn an emperor into a laughing stock, can bring down dynasties. Great finds, Jade Some yummier and/or fancier than others, but each promises to have a some nice ambience from the looks of their sites.
I suggest if a consensus can't be made, that we can maybe try the Sfuzzi restaurant from the Dallas Symphony link suggestions. Can't go wrong with Italian.
Open to whatever. We can always wander and see where our tummies and noses lead us as a last resort. _________________ The mind that encompasses the universe is as marvelous as the universe that encompasses the mind. |

Sfuzzi, El Fenix, or Jorge's sound fine to me. |
