I hope they add the "lost scene" with Luke and Biggs on Tatooine, that would be awesome.
I wonder if Lucas will integrate new scenes into the movie, or if they will just be extras on the DVD.

I can't wait for the set to be released. My original VHS box set is all but gone. I only have one of the three still together. Those damn VHS tapes break too easily. DVD's have beter child protection on them Smile

I din't check ut I assume it will be the re-release with all the extra footage.

Something you have to have. It's film history.

Damn Lucas

Well.. What he's doing isn't very far from what Peter Jackson has done with the LOTR trilogy. First release a cinema version, then add more scenes and release an extended edition... and there will probably be a nice box set of all three films in a year or so.

That's nice, buddy. Problem is, they're not releasing the originals on DVD.

Or were you being hypothetical?

yes, if/when they come out with the ORIGINAL version of the trilogy on DVD, I'm there. Until then my money goes elsewhere.

I heard that the 20th Anniversary edition of E.T. on DVD had both the "let's replace guns with walkie-talkies" politically correct version AND the original version. Kudos.

maybe Steven Spielberg's people can get with George Lucas' people and pass along that helpful tip

Laughing

I like it Altoid - I'm just thinking of all those Stormtroopers brandishing walkie talkies at the Rebels on Hoth.

"Imperial troops have entered the base"
"Yeah? So what"

Would kinda take the edge of the film, don't you think?

And how about ol' Darth? Toilet roll light sabres anyone?

lol
I think they should just replace everything with nerf toys, that'd solve their problem right there Very Happy

Just try to imagine Luke and Vader beating eachother senseless with those giant foam pool sticks.
