Sorry, it's not Fenton either.

Collected and new hints

- movie from the early '90s
- movie with dramatic story - unfolding in a very cold place
- composer received lots of nominations and won several awards
- composer did not win the Oscar
- composer was nominated for Film Composer of the Year several times
- composer is "A-List", presently very active and well known
- IMDB lists more than 100 scores as composed by this man

...and don't forget to check the music-samples again Wink

Here's one more sample.

After this, I can give you one more info about the composer which will probably enable many of you to solve this riddle pretty quickly.

Okay... here's that revealing composer-hint I mentioned:

The composer of this score practically never conducts his own scores.

I've been on vacation so haven't gotten to this one yet. It's Alive by James Newton Howard.

I thought the composer was old...

Anyway, I would never have guessed, never heard of this movie.

With your hints I understood he was old. When I suggested Alan Silvestri, you should have said he was the same age Razz

How about a really easy sample? (please disregard the long pause at the end of the track - without it, my encoder refused to encode the MP3 file)
