After getting the bad news yesterday Jonette and I had to get out of the house. Jonette was feeling good enough for a little road trip. We headed west out of Denver on 285 and took a right turn at Como.

Yea we are getting some color up in the mountains.

Mt Silverheels with just a touch of snow on the peak.

We got to the top of the pass, a bit over 11K feet and started down towards Breckenridge. Not much color till the road turned and we were suddenly looking at.

We started off again and were trying to decide on what to have for dinner in Breck as we descended into the town. we found main street blocked off and decided to stop and see what was happening. I parked and was assaulted with the sound of Ompha Music... OKTOBERFEST! HELL YEA! BEER AND BRATS! decision made.

Grill master charring mammal flesh on the flame pit. Oh so nom.

after a couple beers a brat and pretzel we headed down I70 back to Denver.

It was a good day.

Autumn is the best season!
And having such a great time must have cheered you up!

All the best to Jonette and you!

Love the beautiful yellow leaves. I hope Jonette feels better and the fresh air helped!

Beautiful pics Istagi! I'm praying for a speedy recovery for Jonette. I love the Fall colors and can't believe it's already starting up in the mountains!
