Birthday yesterday! Husband got me:

I had asked for the second, but he surprised me with the first (as well as a handsome set of gourmet chocolates)! Listened to part 1 already; as expected, a far better soundtrack than the movie deserved. Though like the film, there's not really much happening. Tomorrow I listen to the second ST, where Carter Burwell['s minions] has finally crafted some decent action music.

My friends gave me Lincoln, Coco avant Chanel, and the regular Hobbit soundtrack for Xmas. I returned the Hobbit without telling them and ordered the Special Edition version. They are awesome though, totally know to buy the scores, not the song soundtracks. Smile

Added these for Christmas. There really isn't too much of a difference between the regular Hobbit score and the Special Edition so I can just download the bonus/extended tracks from itunes.

Smile And now it's in my own collection:

I think we found a successor to Morricone.

#1+2 I had preordered,
#3+4 I got for Christmas,
#5-7 I got for myself Smile.

*Note: "We bought a Zoo" is more of an experimental pop album than a normal score; not sure how it would fit into SST but I like it.

After an extra listening round of "Imaginaerium" by Nightwish I decided to add it to my collection.
I also gave SSt the tools to add it as well.
