It's a US-Series (comedy / drama) from this century. As far as I know they are working on the 4th season right now and this will be the last.
The man on the picture is the husband of the main character. |

I do not recognize the pictures of the show at all, but I'll try to guess from Bir's hints. #2 above would be... Laura Linney? and then combining that with hint #3, the show is... "The Big C" maybe? |
