They used Sharpies and put
stickers on me! They will go
over it and next Tuesday, we
will do the dry run. It is pretty
high tech - to the millimeter.
The doctors and techs are
really great to me. I will fill
you in as it goes.
It will be 6-weeks, every day,
5-days a week.

Have started the radiation treat-
ments and today is Day #2.
I saw the doctor afterwards and we
looked at the pictures. A deeper
margin was suggested that just
touched the femur but on the side
of it and not its body. It has to do
with the size of the cavity left after
the tumor was removed. It was
particularly aggressive and so he
wants to have added assurance.
We are going with it.
The lines look good. The therapy
went uneventfully, like yesterday.
During this next 6 weeks, I have
to relax in my expectation for
muscle development. Everything
will be slower and I have to be
OK with that. I have to do what
I can do and not do what I can't
but he feels very positive and
sees it fortunate for me how all
has/is transpired/ing.
At home, I am doing what I can
to move towards healing and a
future normalcy.

Ok. It has been a while and I
am through the midpoint of the
radiation treatments.
Keeping in mind that this is an
invader (the radiation), it is an
expectation that we will not see
any recovery in the muscle that
was incised. The purpose of the
radiation is to kill cancer cells.
That was/is the goal. That is
what we are doing. Now: while
that is the case, my immune
system is being assaulted and
this is a drain. It was expected.
I am tired and it will get worse
before it gets better. I need to
sleep more. I need to rest more.
It has become clear. The muscle
needs to heal AFTER the radiation
is done. I just have to get through.
Still, while all this is happening, I
am taking supplements and doing
what I can for my general health
and I will keep on that track.
I will feel more and more drained
during the remaining treatments
but when they are done AND THEY
WILL BE DONE, I will be on the
road to the real recovery and I am
looking forward to that.
A day at a time.
