newly bought:
One was already on my wishlist, the other one went straight to shopping cart after listening to it on Spotify.
O meu pé de laranja lima by Armand Amar
Int. title: My sweet orange tree
contains also the score for: Amazonia Eterna
Beautiful guitar based score for this Portuguese movie
One chance by Theodore Shapiro
Incl. most important recordings by Paul Potts (+2 newly recorded ones)
as this movie is about his amazing career story.
Nice extra: the original Mario Lanza "O sole mio" in new digital improved quality. _________________

While checking for possible nominations for our polls I came across "Segunda Piel" by Roque Banos.
I transfered the album from Spotify straight to my shopping basket on iTunes.
The other one is a nice Silvestri score for the new National Geographic Documentaries: "Cosmos, a space odyssey"

As I got to give my fav. top 10 list of 2013 scores to a music magazine I was delighted that one of the top hitters was also available on iTunes.
ISABEL (,MI REINA) by Frederico Jusid
Argentinian composer who made a grand score for this historical Spanish TV series. Full orchestra, epic passages and some great choirworks.
Also great newly composed TeDeum, Gloria, and Kyrie with spinethrilling effect. _________________

Got several new ones (actively working on my collection right now), but standouts are "Simon and the Oaks" by Annette Focks and "The Taste of Apple Seeds" by Sebastian Pille. Both German, and after falling for "The Physician", I'm thinking I should pay more attention to scores from my home country.
Also got something else, because it was affordable for once, and I haven't calmed down yet.

Two years of stalking the offers on amazon were finally rewarded, Dutch. No luck anywhere else. (Now to do the same thing for Eat Pray Love where I also have to dodge the soundtrack...) |

I downloaded the score from Only Lovers Left Alive because I'm kind of obsessed with that movie right now. I went for virtual over a CD because when my crush cools down, as it inevitably will, I don't want to have to contend with the physical CD. That makes sense, right? _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

After liking the music in the theater and requesting it a bunch here, I finally broke down and snagged this one recently:

Hi Silver,
One word of heads up: if you like the Dario Marianelli score tracks, be sure to get the one labeled "Deluxe Edition" on the cover – that's the 2CD version. The regular version sold on Amazon & elsewhere is only 1 disc, with tracks by various artists including just one score track by Marianelli.
The one I donated recently for the SST catalog is the deluxe version, with a second bonus disc of all score tracks by DM. For reasons which elude me it was only available for sale in the US through a television shopping channel (!!) and it's now out of print, but second-hand copies do turn up on eBay and Amazon Marketplace. That's where I found the copy I got for here and it wasn't all that expensive – even if you had to order from Amazon US it shouldn't be too pricey... especially with the low US$ exchange rates right now.
The Amazon page has preview samples for all tracks from the 1-disc edition, and you can request here to preview the music from the 2CD bonus version. (Note though that Jeric used the cover image from the regular soundtrack, not the version actually in the catalog – just mentioning in case that creates any confusion.) Good luck with your search! |

Hey Dutch, is that Silvestri Cosmos a digital download or did you find it on CD somewhere? I've been scouting Amazon US for that title but they only have it in the mp3 store – 3 separate volumes of it, actually:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J2UVF9Y/
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JYRCLNO/
Just wondering if you found a CD box set, or got it off iTunes in a big batch, etc.? |

As I was having a busy time driving around a lot, my iTunes library needed to be filled with new stuff.
and finally my #1 score for 2013 was released,
GRAND PIANO by Victor Reyes.
Only five tracks from which 3 form a full piano concierto which is played LIVE in the movie.
W. WITSE,DE FILM by Johan Hoogewijs
filmversion of the popular belgian TVcrimi.
Beautiful composition in a small orchestral setting.
KING OF DEVIL`S ISLAND by Johan Söderqvist
Astonishing score for this psychological thriller set in a wide open landscape with lots of dialogueless
scenes. Score to listen too with eyes closed, headphones on and no one to disturb you.
