For years, fans have been asking for a soundtrack release for Avatar: The Last Airbender. Some fans have been more vocal than others, and at least one* even resorted to writing a letter to Nickelodeon studios. On paper.
Well, that hard work has paid off. Sorta. They're releasing a score album for The Legend of Korra, a sequel series. But that series is spectacular, the music is awesome, and if a lot of people buy this, there could be more in the future.** This link talks some more about the history of this release.
I hope that this album will be added once it's released. There's an entire sample track at the WSJ article linked above, and I assume more samples will come to Amazon ere long. I have no idea why the tracks seem to be out of the order they appeared in the show, but that's what ripping CDs is for.
*Yes, it was me.
** I know, they said that about Batman Beyond and nothing really came of it, but I like to let hope triumph over experience. |

I finally got my copy of this CD! It's a lot of fun, and I can't wait to binge-watch the series again with a new appreciation for the score. Hope we can share it here!
