What an excellent thread. Miss you guys! I often wonder where you went.
I always come wandering back to put in a request when I hear an especially excellent movie score. They always bring me back here. To share with people who love the music like I do. It's like reading a good book and wanting to tell someone about it. I'm so glad I have this wonderful site in my back pocket whenever I want to share something transcendentally wonderful.
I'm in Austin currently. Lots of career searching and education loans to prove it. But I'm happily settled as a professional nanny. Which is not a computer job at all. I often listened and signed on when I had a desk job, or studying my way to another desk job. But when I realized the only good thing about sitting at a desk all day/night was listening to music and chatting with you guys, it was a clue it would be okay if i quit my desk job search to do something I really love. Which is raise families and watch kids grow into amazing human beings...and i cant help but watch them change me and refine my coarser edges.
I am, however trying to sit down to write, so that may have me plugging in a bit more. Sometimes when I do, I put it here:

Thanks for the delicious misc requests - better than pandora, that's for sure. _________________ Was that an earthquake, or did I just rock your world? |

Update on my wife's health:
She is doing great. Life is getting back to normal again. She is driving, working(2 hours a week) and her hair is nicely growing back.
So this is my last comment in this subject. Will there be major chances, and will i therfore be seen less on SST, I will let you know....
Closing the subject and a harsh time-period. Thanx for all your suppsrt, it did help....
Greatings,

"The end is near"
This text is on a few posters in my shop. Why?
Because from the first of August, the shop will be closed. I'm from that moment on no longer the owner of Cigo Ezzebleef, as my shop is named.
Crisis, mall going bad, les customers, Post-office left, it's cheaper in belgium(border is only 10 km) etc. etc...
I can not sell the shop, so i will be left with e debt...........There will be an arrangement to prevent bankruptcy...sad but true....
What's next?
Well I looked for a job, tryed to get a job-interview, 20-times. and was succesfull!!
From the 4th of augsut i'm goin to work as an gass-station assistend. Nothing fancy, not as owner but a man(and his family) got to eat and pay the rent. It's a good job with enough responsebility, at the start.
Will I be listening to SST at the job? Will I still be a memeber of the daily morning-chat-crew?
Probably not..........
I will become a listener in my free-time and there will be less and less chat from me.
So if you miss me at the chat........that's why.
if i'm setteld in on my new job and ther are any changes in the listening or chat-situation I will let you know.
Greetings Iwan the Blue.....aka Peter _________________ Hunt or be hunted, be the butcher or the cattle..... |

I'm sooooooooooooooo sorry to hear that, Peter!!!
We will miss you very, very much here!!
I hope you will like the new job although I can imagine it being very tough not to be your own boss anymore.
Hopefully the co-workers and the new boss will be nice - and maybe you can convince them to stream SST in the office or the shop of the gas station!
I surely will have a constant lookout for you here!!!
And let's make sure we'll keep in touch via fb!
*BIG COMFORTING HUGS* |

Sorry to hear Iwan...
But good to know you have a new job.
Wish you all the best!
I was hoping to visit your famous Cigo Ezzebleef shop some day. Now I still hope we meet one day, but in some other place. Maybe in the location of your own business in the future
Take care! And greetings to your wife too.

New Job! New Live!
At the moment I'm in my 3th month at my new job. It's a regular job, with 38 hours a week. with shift's, mornings from 06.00 till 14.00, day from 14.00 till 22.00 and nights from 22.00 till 06.00.
At the nigthshifts it's possible to stream SST at the workplace....not at the other shifts. And also on the nigthshifts I have the possibility to chat, not much, because I'm there to work....duh.
All in all I mis the morningcrew on SST and the chat, but I have more time off then ever. With my shop I worked 55 hours a week. So that's an improvement. So sometimes, when I have a free day, I will join you on SST and chat.
Just to let you know..............cya.....bye.....*hugs* and *waves*
Peter aka Iwan the Blue.
ps and my wife is going to work fulltime, almost no side-effects from the cancer(which is gone btw, is de conclusion after the last scan) or the treatment.(almost=fatiqued after a full day of work) _________________ Hunt or be hunted, be the butcher or the cattle..... |

Life can be cruel
I hope ... no, I believe it is going to be better.
And I will see you sometimes on SST during your nightshift.
Iwan, I wish you and your wife all the best! |

lotrgirl checking in!!! Yes, I have been non-existent for a very long time, but what can I say? Life has been extremely busy! Working as a computer programmer, helping a lot with the youth at my church, spending time with family and friends, and most recently....I got engaged to a wonderful man!!! (Don't worry, he loves LOTR as much as I do ). I miss being on here, but just don't have time for it anymore.... _________________ "All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you." - Gandalf the Grey |

We miss you, too, lotrgirl! And I personally can relate to not having the time you'd like for SST.
Best wishes for your engagement and marriage, and thanks for popping in! |
