I thought the episode was a great jumping-on point for people who had never seen Doctor Who before.

Whoops. Sorry. Forgot the [sarcasm] tag.

Actually, I enjoyed it. I was worried that it was going to be really mopey. I was afraid that it would spend all its time on Spoiler:
the fall of Gallifrey, and the Doctor's guilt, and the dead kids. Kinda like almost every Batman movie ever made dwells on his dead parents. Or like this: http://comicsalliance.com/superman-a-celebration-of-75-years-review-dc/

But it didn't. It had a happy ending, even if only one person remembers it. That was good. We needed that.

The new Doctor Who Fan Orchestra is here. Spot at least two SST members. One is pretty easy to find Smile

Oh yes, that was fun! I wonder if there were other SST members participating...

Going back to the series, I saw the Christmas special and I must say thar *spoilers free comment* Matt deserved maybe a better last episode. I wonder if a second watch may change my opinion, but at the moment I find it a bit disappointing.

I found it just like the other Christmas specials. About an hour in, once things actually start happening, it's over.

Spoiler:
And Tasha Lem is totally River Song.

Woohoo a Dr. Who fan!!! Tom Baker is my favorite doctor, and my favorite assistant has always been Sarah Jane Smith, though Romana 2 comes in close second.

LOL Harrison Chase as best villian. He's certainly close, but I'd have to choose The Master played by Anthony Ainly for my favorite villian.

Did we really get this far into 2019 without a mention of Jodie or adding her to the poll? Sad

So it would seem, Dragonel. I really like her! And I thought the master is great too. Spoiler:
All the new info in time lords is really exciting! I miss the days when I was playing catch up and could just watch the next episode without waiting.
