This time an event of AlterFMF segment has been announced.
Late in the evening on May 28th (Thursday) there will be a concert of a film and theatre music of Polish composer - Michał Jacaszek.
Venue: ICE Kraków (Theatre room)
Jacaszek's music has been described as quiet, touching and full of emotions. It's also mainly an electronic music.
I'm not familiar with this composer.
Here you can see a short movie with his score: https://vimeo.com/7792828
And here is a link to composer's website: http://jacaszek.com/about/
The programme of the concert:
- Golgota Wrocławska (from TV theatre directed by Jan Komasa)
- Sala samobójców (from a movie directed by Jan Komasa)
- Badjao. Duchy z morza (from non-fiction movie directed by Eliza Kubarska)
- Droga przez Baltoro (from non-fiction movie directed by Eliza Kubarska)
- Jezioro (from short movie directed by Jacek Piotr Bławut)
- There is no others there is only us (from short movie directed by Marc Silver)
If you want to see AlterFMF concert you need a separate ticket. I didn't book them so far. If anyone is willing to go, let me know please!
It's been also mentioned that next year the AlterFMF segment will be dedicated to electronic music and to theatre and short movies scores. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

There will be one more movie with music being played live simultaneously!
Date: May 31st, 2015
Hour: 15:00
Venue: ICE Kraków.
It will be a Polish movie (for the first time). The title is "Bogowie" ("Gods") and the score is by Bartosz Chajdecki. BTW: We have the score here on SST.
Music will be performed by B.A.Ch Film Ensemble and Bartosz Chajdecki will play piano parts during the concert.
I'll try to find out if the movie has English subs or not.
Tickets for this event will be sold separately. Let me know please if you are interested. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

OK. Got it Sirius!
BTW: KBF is working on English subtitles for "Bogowie", so it looks promising.
BTW2: "Bogowie" is a Polish film telling the story of the first Polish heart transplant and the cardiac surgeon who did it. I've seen that movie when it was at the movies and enjoyed it. Movie is based on a true story but it is really well put together. As far as I know it topped Polish box office in 2014.
BTW3: There has been a slight change in a number of seats available for SST at FMF 2015. Tonks will not come to Kraków.
- 16 seats on Wednesday
- 10 seats on Thursday
- 9 seats on Friday
- 6 seats on Saturday
- 13 seats on Sunday _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Yep, ticket for me too.
And I probably need a carnet + 1 ticket for Bogowie too.
If everything goes well, Nicklas Schmidt comes to Krakow as our guest, so he won't get a VIP from KBF as far as I know now.
If he stays with our group all festival, I need the tickets. |

No problem Dutch. I'll ask for tickets to see Bogowie.
BTW: Hey you, more gifted guys, are we thinking about any t-shirts for FMF this year? I can help geting them printed but we need a design! _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

My guess would be, if you see it first time in Kraków, the music and the orchestra will probably lose against the story of the movie, simply because the film is quite good. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

So far I've been working on a Meet & Greet again in the Pauza in Garden,Krakow for Sun, May 31
Although talks still are ongoing I want to share the names for this, that,as always, might change due to programming the guests by FMF.
So far I've invited:
*Matthijs Kieboom, Dutch composer and winner of the Young Talent Award 2013, currently working on several projects incl. an American-Spanish Animation movie together with Composer Diego Navarro
*Jeff Beal Emmy-awarded composer doing lots of TV stuff, most recently 'the Dovekeepers' and 'House of Cards'
*Nicklas Schmidt Danish composer, new to SST with works soon to be updated. He will introduce his new score for the Worldwide acclaimed Animation movie 'Beyond beyond" Nicklas has agreed to join SST members with his girlfriend throughout the festival.
@Molossus That means I need two tickets for all concerts extra.
FMF will be asked to provide/invite one more composer guest for the purpose. |

Ok Dutch! Total of 3 tickes for main concerts + 3 tix for "Bogowie" for you.
Meanwhile it looks like my first estimate was a bit high so I have cut down number of tickets for main concerts a bit (with an exception of Satuday Gala).
At the moment we still have:
- 6 seats available for Wednesdy (Video Games Show)
- 6 seats available for Thursday (Scoring4Wajda)
- 6 seats available for Friday (Shakespeare)
- 7 seats available for Saturday (International TV Series Gala)
- 6 seats available for Sunday (Star Trek)
I also have sent an e-mail to KBF to ask for "Bogowie" tickets (asked for more than we need at the moment, because I hope for more members being interested in it) and just a few tix for "Young Way into Classics" concert in case anyone wants to join me at this event.
BTW: We know another composer coming to Kraków this year - it's Daniel Licht with his music composed to "Dexter" TV series. Daniel Licht will be performing on stage during Saturday's Gala. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,
