Yes Mol's STs are awesome. I am still enjoying my Misja. Also the second CD with the Polish rock songs is quite a surprise. |

One of my backorders came in (one more to go)
and the new Giacchino!!
Il figlio della sepolta viva by Franco Micalizzi
One of Micalizzi's most melodious scores. Only music released so far was a 45rpm with two themes on it (still much sought after)
Now a limited edition of full score released from this 'cloak and dagger' movie from 1974.
Jupiter ascending by Michael Giacchino
Full throttle score with orchestra and majestic choir themes.
Underscored the movie greatly and is, although being a TVSD score, still
worthy and listenable as stand alone piece of music.
Best are the tracks from the non-action cues. _________________

Update on my recent additions:
Le dernier loup by James Horner. Impressive score for yet again a collaboration with the great J.J.Annaud (Name of the Rose,Black Gold)
Outlander by Bear McCreary My first album by his hand with nice Celtic folksongs in it.
Kundo;the age of the rampant by Cho Yeong-Wook
Amazing double album for a martial arts western scored in hommage to Italian composers like Micalizzi,Nicolai,Ortolani and Morricone
Familiar sound enriched with asian instruments and more orchestra.
On my TOP15 of Best Scores 2014 (which completed my collection for that)
Michiel de Ruyter Epic score by Trevor Morris. Bombastic with great theme, only a bit longwinding in the battle scenes. _________________

I've had to preorder, but nevermind, I've managed to hear them in their entirety already and they'll be here in time:
(I may have found a score that I like more than "Black Gold". But I'm not sure yet. I love them both.) |

Two great scores (one of which is aiming for a spot in my TOP15 list for 2015) were bought from iTunes.
Ori and the blind forest Animation/gamescore by Gareth Coker
Ermessenda Time reflecting score (8th,9th century) for TV-miniseries by Arnau Bataller
Great vocals in it too.

So far no collection-worthy releases in May.
So I took a look to my wish list and filled in with some great scores:
Apocalypse by Kenji Kawai, after seeing full documentary on NatGeo I got this.
the Arctic Giant by Nicklas Schmidt, yet again a NatGeo documentary with a fabulous score by our soon to be new member.
Nicolas le Floch by Stéphane Moucha, French TV-detective series
Held der Gladiatoren by Carsten Rocker, German TV film
Selam Bahara Yolculuk by Yücel Arzen, Turkish sequel to "Selam" (Spring) with a great score. Some journalists already stated that if you are looking for the old style great scores you have to look to Spain, Balkan and Asia. This proves yet again they are right. |

I finally tracked down and ordered a copy of Revolutionary Girl Utena, so I shouldn't have to pester people by requesting it so much. |
