Thank you for a nice, short but neat FB post about FMF Star Trek concert in Kraków, Cal!

If you have your own FB site and would like to promote FMF folks, please, feel free to post info about Star Trek concert in Kraków on May 31st, 2015. KBF would like to promote this particular concert. You can use FMF's official pics and texts. For example the one you can see on SST's FB site: https://www.facebook.com/FestiwalMuzykiFilmowej/photos/pb.336649528645.-2207520000.1432149340./10153484115628646/?type=1&theater

slightly confused by the t-shirt situation. Is Mol or Cali dealing with it? Is there a draft design up? I suppose you will need to print soon, if not already done?

A lot of great experiences ahead of us but there is also bad news... Maciek Dobrowolski will not come to Kraków this year. Sad

He made late decision to stay at home to work on a new material (which is a good news I suppose!)

Good luck Maciek! Hoping to see you in Kraków some other year.

Hey Mol, thank you very much for keeping all of us posted. It is thoroughly appreciated.
After we had a great time with the SST people in Prague earlier this year, DieTeeFee and I were tempted to join you guys in Krakow on short notice, but the holiday plan did not allow for it. Crying or Very sad

For now we'll curiously follow your postings and make sure to be there next year.

Have fun and please send warm greetings to everyone. *grouphug*

Hey plus1! Thanks! I'm happy to see you around!
Looking forward to meeting you in Kraków next year!

BTW: Today we start a series of open for general public meetings and workshops with composers and industry people (there is also a series of closed workshops for young composers - below 35 - going on every day, including yesterday).

There is a concert in the evening of course. Tonight it will be a music from Polish movies directed by Andrzej Wajda (so a lot of Kilar, but also some other Polish composers). Interesting part of tonight's show will be that we will hear couple of pieces that have never been released before and - as Robert Piaskowski (FMF Artistic Director) mentioned - sometimes there was even a problem with recreating music sheets for them.

PS: We have already been told that there will be a similar concert dedicated to Polish film music next year. In 2016 it will be with music from Roman Polanski's films. And in 2017 they want to do scores from Agnieszka Holland flicks.

Misja Afganistan/Czas Honoru by Bartosz Chajdecki
Downton Abbey by John Lunn (with John Lunn on piano)
FMF Young Talent Award 2015 Winning Suite (by Antonio Di Iorio from Italy)
The Borgias/Tudors by Trevor Morris

Dexter by Daniel Licht (with Daniel on stage playing instruments I can't even name Smile)
Wataha (The Pack) by Lukasz Targosz
The Knick by Cliff Martinez
The Dovekeepers by Jeff Beal
House of Cards by Jeff Beal
Vikings by Trevor Morris
Game of Thrones by Ramin Djawadi

If you ask me for my personal opinion,
Wataha (The Pack) by Lukasz Targosz, Misja Afganistan/Czas Honoru by Bartosz Chajdecki, Chicago Fire by Atli Orvarsson, Dexter by Daniel Licht and Vikings by Trevor Morris were the pieces that sounded the best.
And yeah, Ramin's theme from Games of Thrones is not on my list but it is extremely catchy...

BTW: Top 3 of FMF 2015 Young Talent Award were: Antonio Di Iorio (Italy); Kristjan Bergey (Canada) and Moritz Schmittat (United Kingdom).
