Recently:

The Queen – While I really like Desplat, this title wasn't necessarily high on my wish list... but then
I found it at a bookstore on clearance for $3 still new/wrapped so I went ahead and snagged it. Smile
Nowhere near my favorite of his, but some pretty themes for sure.

I also got these today:

Atonement – Dario Marianelli
Kingsman: The Secret Service – Henry Jackman & Matthew Margeson

Atonement, I've wanted for some time; Kingsman, since I saw the movie in February. Very different music but ♥ ♥ ♥ both!
(Unlike LadyInque, however, I cannot guarantee that I'll be requesting either of these any less in the immediate future. hehe)

Notable on Kingsman: the CD version of this album came with 3 bonus tracks beyond the digital mp3 album (which we have here on SST),
two score tracks & one demo suite. (Still no "Freebird" though. LOL) It's nothing to make a difference for a casual listener, but if you really
like this title & plan to buy it, be sure to get the physical CD copy for the extra content!

Funny. I remember when the digital versions had all the extra content, and the physical CD was more basic.

New stuff I bought (since April!!)

*Bobby Jones:stroke of genius by James Horner
a long time in my bucket list, but now I just had to buy
it.
*Pirate's passage by Andrew Lockington
The decent one of the two scores he made.

Is it because of the fact that there are no good scores coming out or me not having time to listen to all releases?
Anyway, only found this Armstrong good enough to add to my collection.
Great full orchestral, romantic score.

Well, I guess it was the lack of time.
Now I'm browsing through the 200+ list of 2015 releases and trying to listen to a lot of them.

This resulted in new purchases too:

But always by Zhiyi Wang
Dragonheart 3; the sorcerer's curse by Mark McKenzie
Son (TV-series) by Toygar Isikli

More will follow soon as I have a lot of catching up to do

Nothing about this release, and then suddenly it comes out. I downloaded it yesterday and listened to it today. Lush and romantic, with some scary tracks. Mostly old-fashioned for this neo-Hammer movie.

Nice additions Dtf.
Jesper Hansen will be happy when he sees that you bought that.

A little treat for myself as I didn't spend any money on Halloween:

Two great scores that I wanted out of my bucket list.
Les 108 Rois-Démons by Rolfe Kent
The man from U.N.C.L.E. by Daniel Pemberton

PAN by John Powell
CRIMSON PEAK by Fernando Velazquez
BEYOND THE MASK by Jurgen Beck

With thanks to the composer Roque Baños I received an early copy of his new score for the Ron Howard movie "In the heart of the sea"
It's a great score with as well purpose-made sound based electronic music as symphonic brilliance.
Baños at his best.
