When trying to listen to the 128k stream via VLC, I get the following error:

Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://hi1.streamingsoundtracks.com:8000'. Check the log for details.

The music plays anyway, but the stream properties shows it's using the second URL http://hi5.streamingsoundtracks.com.

I suspect the URL hi1.streamingsoundtracks.com:8000 is no longer valid. Just FYI in case it's true so that it can be fixed/removed.

hi5.streamingsoundtracks.com works fine, as does hi.streamingsoundtracks.com.

i have the same problem!
it started at the time, when the stream was broken in the mornings. (soo... around a week ago?)
