Hi everyone,
it's been a while since I've been on here, but i'm back! I got to thinking the other day about the new Marvel movies and their respective soundtracks which got me thinking even more about which one would be considered timeless or which one was better. anyway, i'd like to hear from all of you and your thoughts. here's my list and criteria
Criteria: main theme or character theme, it's ability to stick in your head, and the overall score construction for the track (i.e. is a great piece for a full orchestra or something you'd hear at a movie soundtrack performance)
1. Avengers Theme
2. Captain America: Winter Soldier Main Theme
3. Ant-man
4. Iron Man Theme
5. X-Men (original theme and recurring through the latest movies by Kamen)
6. Guardians of the Galaxy (main theme in the fight scene)
7. Thor (Sons of Odin track) thoughts?

There will be a lot of Marvel-fans who actually 'like' these scores, but I'm not one of them.
As the music is mainly interchangeable it's very unlikely to be timeless.
From the ones you mentioned some tracks from " Guardians of the Galaxy" stood out to me in a positive way (that's why that one is in my collection)
In short: Sometimes there's something like an OK-track on those scores for me. Most of the time not.

I think certain tracks seem to stick out. The Avengers main theme was played by my college marching band and they did it really well and made me like it more.
Completely agree with you Caliburn. Ant-man was pretty good. I hope they keep it up
