The film might not have done justice to the gripping story of the 33 trapped Chilean miners, and it might not be one of James Horner's better known works, but it is a memorable score because of his use of Andean folk music elements. And this is the late Horner's second-to-last score.  All in all, this would be a worthy addition to SST's music library.

I will note that "Gracias A La Vida" is a very popular and much-covered Latin American song originally composed and performed by Chilean musician Violeta Parra. The recording used on this album is the source music sung by Chilean-born actress/singer Cote de Pablo, who appears as singer Jessica Vega in a very moving scene in the film. This should definitely be included in the SST listing.
The song "Al Final De Este Viaje En La Vida" by Los Bunkers (a popular Chilean band) is a familiar song, not recorded for the film, though used very effectively during a tribute to the original miners seen at the end of the film. According to typical SST protocols, this song perhaps should not be included since it was not written or recorded specifically for the movie.
