Doctor Who - Murray Gold
Buy at Amazon
Track List:
Track 15: Song for Ten
Track 30: Love Don't Roam
I assume the songs were not originally included because they are not the exact version as heard on the episodes. However these songs were both written purely for the show and have never been "pop" releases or available anywhere else. The only difference is that the full songs were recorded here while the episodes included part of each song to fit the timing and situation of the storyline.
The lyrics of both songs refer to a wanderer and his love providing hints at the relationship between the Tenth Doctor & Rose. |

I'm sorry, but I voted no for the very personal and subjective reason that I don't think the songs are very good. The recordings always sounded muddy to me, and "Song for Ten" especially is boring. I don't remember them from the episodes at all, so I can't comment on different versions, but I tend to skip them myself when listening to the album. _________________ I have a book coming out. Fair enough LadyI, and I wouldn't claim they are as good as most of the score or say Song of Freedom in series 4. But I do enjoy them when I'm in that sort of mood and I'd like to have them available.
And there are a lot worse tracks (vocal and not) already on SST .... and being requested. I'd rather these were available and then let people decide to play them or not. After all, at this point the "cost" involved is no more than a little time for Jeric or his minions in loading the tracks. |
