Thanks molossus I hope at least some listeners will enjoy the music. Bohlen's album suprised me too, however the quality is low, songs sound terrible, they could be played at 1980s.FM. Hopefully there are also instrumental tracks. We can have a little fun. |

Sent to SST 2 weeks ago:
Out Of Sight (most of tracks) by David Holmes
|
^ I mailed that one in to Jeric about 4 years ago but he did not add it.
Thanks for updating us, martino! I can already cross a couple more titles off my shopping "watch list" just from your post here. |

Thanks to a random visit to a local bookstore with music now I have 4 albums on my desk which I'd like to send to JERIC:
1) "Silence" by Kim Allen Kluge & Kathryn Kluge
2) "The Chamber" by James Dean Bradfield
3) "Irmin Schmidt. Filmmusik Anthology. Volume 6" by Irmin Schmidt
4) "Akademia Pana Kleksa" by Andrzej Korzyński
But I have to listen to that music first.
I've listened to "The Chamber" today and I like it. It won't be Top 100 score here for sure but it has a lot of low sounds and drums plus electronic atmosphere a bit similar to Terminator 2. I'll probably buy a copy for myself too.
Finally had time to listen to last of the albums from the list and I will send 3 of them to JERIC.
I've decided to skip "Irmin Schmidt. Filmmusik Anthology. Volume 6" by Irmin Schmidt because it's rather underscore - mostly slow and quiet music + longish tracks - not very interesting for SST IMHO.

It used to be harder to get the album added couple of years ago, indeed
And I think I liked it that way. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

"Out Of Sight" contains 15 tracks, 9 of them are originally composed by Holmes but only 4 have been approved The rest wasn't family friendly because of profanities in the dialogues. If somehow these dirty words could be hidden (by 'beep-beep' or sth) ... *sighs*

\0/ It was a real blockbuster in the Eastern Bloc over 30 years ago! I only know the album with songs. Thanks for the original score, mol! |

Yes I know! I was thinking more that you could have saved the money of a new purchase because Jeric already had a physical copy of the disc. Oh well.
@molossus - I don't know any of those but I'm game for new music to discover! |

For the record: GalFin took steps to provide SST with a score to "Vincere" by Carlo Crivelli.

Just wanting to inquire on the status of Swallows & Amazons - did it get approved? I saw we got The Adjustment Bureau added on the May 27 update, but not the Eshkeri album. Curious because I was looking forward to hearing that one! |

Ah, good that you brought it up. I was wondering about the same thing but have not remembered to contact JERIC or BQ about it. I think they just missed it. I'll email them and ask about it. Thanks again for bringing this up. |

I bought Mutiny On The Bounty (1962) by Bronislau Kaper. The film was nominated for 7 Oscars (including original score and song). It is a classic adventure movie soundtrack (quite different than Vangelis' work from 1984). |

I've been clearing out my CDs and thought I would see what I could donate. I've offered the following to Jeric
Meet the Parents by Randy Newman
The Hard Word by David Thrussell
Soap Operas Greatest Love Themes by Various
Shallow Grave by Simon Boswell
Prelude to a Kiss by Howard Shore
Love is a Many Splendored Thing / Seven Year Itch / Leave Her to Heaven by Alfred Newman
Riot by Luke Cresswell & Steve McNicholas
Paper Tiger by Roy Budd
White Man's Burden (2 score tracks by Howard Shore)
Also Original Soundtrack Scores by Max Steiner. The first 12 tracks are from King Kong, which SST has, but there are an additional 2 tracks from This Is Cinerama and 5 from Death of a Scoundrel. _________________ If you can't stand the heat, don't tease a dragon |
