I have also changed the dates in the topic again to reflect the fact that this is for a Thursday performance. Also, this will give us more time to be able to hang out as a group over the weekend, so if there are people who want to come to the meetup, but can't make it to the performance, there will be options

As I said a few days ago in chat, I'm not sure if I can make the concert or just the weekend.
Do you have some count on who can (or at least would like to ) make the concert to be sure we will want something in the region of 16 tickets? I'm not expecting a definite list yet, but if only 4-5 people are even trying to make the Thurs then we need to know.

If I & my +1 end up not coming, that leaves you right on 16 (there's also a chance it'd be just me, for 17). Should be close enough, particularly if there are some others who don't think they can, but might be able to join later if there are tickets ....
Just wanted to double-check the math after the change to Thurs. Thanks for keeping on top of this.

Hey all, just an update on where we stand with the tickets for John Williams in Chicago:
With 4 people having paid for their tickets already, we now have enough to move forward with the deposit, which I will be taking care of tomorrow.
We have a total of 20 tickets available, which means we have 16 tickets left. We need to have them paid in full by February 25, 2018. This gives us 5 months for folks to be able to plan and hopefully be able to work the concert and meetup into their schedule.
Hit me up if you want me to put you down for a ticket, or two if you plan on bringing a +1.

We still have 13 tickets available for purchase. Pending confirmation from the above folks, we will have 3 to 4 tickets leftover. Also, please let me know if you will need hotel accommodations. As I have said, I have 10 rooms with double beds reserved from April 25 - 30, which works out to be $317 USD per person ($63.40 USD per day). I know some of you (Molossus and Sirius) have additional travel plans while you are here, but there is a room for everyone. Just let me know what your needs are going to be.
I will be paying for the rooms upon arrival to Chicago, so ideally would prefer to receive room payments before check in.
Thanks everyone for your patience as I continue to put this together. Also, maybe start brainstorming ideas of things we can do as a group during the meetup. I know that one idea was hitting up a Russian Tea House before the JW concert. Any other suggestions?

Little update from my side.
No that long ago I booked flights for molossus and me to cross the pond. We decided to extend our trip a bit and visit another area of the states as well. Mol and I were in Chicago last august, so we decided not to stay in Chicago that long. We arrive in Chicago on Wednesday afternoon and leave Friday evening.

Hey folks, I just had a quick question, and it stems from some information I received from Mol and Sirius.
I have already pre-booked rooms for the meetup, however, I do realize that folks have different check in and check out schedules. Also, Mol and Sirius were able to find a room at the same hotel for a lower rate than I was able to secure.
My question is, would folks rather book their own room, or shall I keep the reservations that I already have?
