At work, there was a small contest to find who would go check out these villas because we need to rent one for a seminary, and I'm the one going to Greece while being paid for it!
Okay, it'll be winter, but it sure beats staying in my flat.

I am very happy at the moment!
I was working on a programming assignment I started yesterday and we've got three weeks for. I did some of the preparation yesterday, and now was trying to figure out a way to tackle the main problem. I ran into some issues, but I decided to try to get as far as I could, so I could ask the assistant for a hint tomorrow, showing him what I had tried already.
And then I figured it out, and now it works, with 5 tutorial classes left! 
I feel like my method is maybe not efficient enough, but the code is reasonably compact, at least.  And in any case, I'm super happy about figuring it out at all. |

I am choosing to celebrate that I got not one, but two rejections for my novel today. One was two weeks overdue from a publisher that promised to get back to me in 90 days, and the other took just over 2 hours from my submission.
They say they want different. They say they want "out of the box." They lie.
But I'm putting my work out there! Hooray! Nobody wants it, but that's fine!
Sigh.
