Wow! I may have to check those out. Two of my favorites, and I didn't know those labels had released expanded editions.

I just bought on bandcamp the soundtrack of "The Devil's carnival" and the "The Devil's carnival: Alleluia"
The movie is not the best, but the songs are awesome. I wish SST can put it here too. _________________ I'm the heart of swing

A rarity bought recently ...
Дневной Дозор [Dnevnoy Dozor aka Day Watch] Original Soundtrack
from Timur Bekmambetov's fantasy horror movie filled with some pop/death metal/rap music (Серёга, ТТ-34, Город 312, Фабрика, Верка Сердючка) but mostly with original classic score written by Юрий Анатольевич Потеенко [Yuriy Anatolyevich Poteyenko]

"World of Hans Zimmer - A Symphonic Celebration" (I didn't expect much but this album turned out to be pretty good).

Rare thing indeed martino, I remember the movie being very different from the novel it was based on, but not much about its music. Time for a rewatch |

I couldn't find this thread for some time, because it was sticky.
Well, here are my second two soundtracks!

congratz on the dragons
my latest acquisitions during the game music fest in wroclaw:
the orchestra hiphop mashup. Haven't had time to give it a proper listening, but first impression was a weird one. Haven't seen the movie though. (I know, I really should )
For soem reason I was really digging the "Race to Feed"-track from blue planet II and when I saw the other albums there as well, I thought, when will I get the chance again to buy them altogether, and I do remember them mostly being good, so four albums bought.
My personal highlights, as you cannot find those easily on CD, not without ordering online at least. They had quite a bunch of japanese import CDs at the stand. The shadow of the colossus suite was really great, I will have fond memories in my head for quite some time, now even longer, that I have the music on CD
Talking about japanese; I found this collection there as well, bought it mainly because I love this version of "Merry Xmas Mr. lawrence"
And the last one was already bought in Krakow in May, but since I didn't share it yet and it really is a good one here goes:
(BTW is there a way to resize embedded images? the spiderverse cover is just so big) |

@ 607: YAY for Dragons!
@ danleich: Nice score on the BBC albums!
To answer your question about the image resize: there isn't, as far as I know. What I usually do in that situation is find a smaller copy of the same image, if possible.
Here are a couple of good go-to reverse image searches – for most commercial album art it's pretty quick to find a match.

I added these titles to my soundtrack library a few months ago, thanks to the local library's annual fundraiser sale:

Aaaaand then these snagged last month thanks to the annual clearance sale at Half Price Books.
It was my first time going to this one and I have to say, I had a tough time restraining myself, with all music titles only a dollar!
In short, an excellent batch for my JW collection, one more each for my JH & TN sets, a nice expanded Barry (previously I only had the old MCA version),
a few Gabriel Yared titles (my firsts from him), also my first-ever Morricone, and some others from my wishlist.
Actually I got more at this sale but I haven't finished going through them all yet. Probably more to come later! |

One more! Just picked up from Amazon this weekend:
I'm a bit behind on the DW releases but finally adding this one.
Nearly there with the Who scores now, though I'm still missing a Christmas title from Eleven's era.
(And of course series 10, if the BBC would ever release the thing.)
I also realized something today: I believe this makes Murray Gold the #2 composer in my soundtracks collection, behind only John Williams. |
