The Hunt for Red October is an album I am not well acquainted with, but it is one of the highest rated albums on SST (currently ranked 13th!). I found it interesting to read that the album that is on SST is quite a compressed version, not even including the end titles. A soundtrack with about twice as much music from the film having been released in 2013, I'm surprised that that version is not on SST! |

You are right 607. Intrada released a far superior album in 2013, but it was a limited release and it quickly sold out. It is no longer available. I found out about the album much too late, otherwise I would have certainly purchased it for my own enjoyment.
It would have been wonderful for the expanded album to be included in SST's catalog. These special additions are typically donated by members like you!

Ah, that makes sense! Yeah, I see now that the cheapest one on Discogs is over $60. That'd be quite a donation to make! |
