Well Hello there!

I just saw Shrek 2. Its great... I thought it was better than the first. The first was great because it was new, but this one.....WARNING spoiler... highlight to read SPOILERS. Spoiler:
Okay here we go hope this works... anyways shrek 2 had lots more adult jokes. such as the cat nip... and pinnoco wearing thongs. what I didn't care for is that Donkey is still with that dragon... It just didn't make sense to me. And now they have kids... jeesh! this color was midnight blue.

Okay so if you have seen it feel free to comment on it. and vote... if not. piss off. Smile

Agreed, Lego. For me, there was no contest... Shrek 2 has it by a mile.

Spoiler:
I thought that the COPS parody was one of the funniest things I've seen in the movies in quite some time. Especially that bit about the catnip in a baggie... "It's not mine." The pepper grinder was a pretty nice touch, too.

Antonio Banderas was worth the price of admission by himself. I had never really thought of him as a comedic actor before (although I must admit that some of his early work with Pedro Almodovar falls into that category).

Yeah, they got the idea from my post in the Spoiler Warnings and Request Netiquette thread... and to think... they didn't even get the colors right Razz
(The correct background-color for the forum-posts are #003366).
But the problem with using that, or any other matching color is that the text is visible when people reply, because in the posts below the reply-field the background-color is different.

Slightly back on topic:

Unfortunately Shrek 2 hasn't come to Norway yet, so I've yet to see it. But I really look forward to it nonetheless.

There is a phpBB MOD that adds bbcode to cover spoilers for you like the stike, bold, color buttons. When I have time to look for it and install it I will.

I loved Shrek 2!

Spoiler:
I liked the adult humor mixed in with a kids movie. I think these things probably wouldn't have been understood by a child, yet keeps the adults entertained as well. Antonio Bandaras' character was awesome. How could you not melt for that "cute kitten face" he made? Smile The COPS scene was hilarious!

Great movie! I definately recommend it!

**Edited to add "spoiler" and to make this note Smile

I thought the adult humor was great, and in my opinion, done correctly. During our viewing the entire theater would laugh, including my 5-year old son ... and then he'd turn to me and say ..... "why was *that* funny"?

But there was still enough humor for the kids.

Out of the following movies I've recently seen:
Troy
The Day After Tomorrow
Van Helsing
Shrek 2

I'd have to say that Shrek 2 was the only one that I enjoyed. Great fun.

Shrek 2 was really fun! Best time I've had at the movies so far this summer.

Shrek might have greater longevity because there were more pop culture references in Shrek 2, but I can't really say which one I enjoyed more.

I saw all te same movies yuo saw circleprovider and I have to agree that Shrek II was the best of the bunch, but I really enjoyed the Day After Tomorrow.

I still think Shrek I is the best but I can't really say why. I loved Shrek II though. I took my 5 year old and my almost 2 year old to see it. They both loved it. They are trained Shrek lovers, watching it at least once a week.

Spoiler:
I just want to try this silly thing out. I like the little donkey/dragon babies after the credits. They were expected but still great!

I really loved it. The characthers are wonderful, really superb voiceacting in all the roles.

Spoiler:

Was really fun with all the small things that were taken from other movies. I've seen it once and saw stuff that were taken from Spiderman, Lord of the Rings, Alien and I'm sure there was something more, can't remember it right now though.

Spoiler:

I really laugned out loud when pinochio flew through the air and suddenly became a boy, I was just so hilarious. But I guess I'm just strange Smile
