In order to be able to answer the survey, would you be up for a session of these soundtracks in a row sometime? |

Well, I'd be happy to answer the survey on "Which score would you most like to see released?" but I don't think that people know all of them to make a fair judgement... |

It took me a few reads of this to get it... Schroddie is referring to the current "Survey" on the main pages (left side of screen, below the Make A Contribution module).
That survey itself is confusing enough, but Schroddie, yours is even more confusing.
I didn't vote, btw. _________________ "insert your own clever quote here.... I'm too lazy to do it." |

Someone please elighten me to what is confusing about the poll. So far there are 153 reasons that say the poll isn't "confusing".
People will pick from the list by:
A. Being a score freak like many of us are and do in fact know all of these soundtracks.
B. Will chose favorite composer.
C. Will chose the biggest disappointment by not being released in their memory. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

I get it now. You mean the full soundtrack (or score) versions of these, not the pop-song version with a couple of scores mixed in. Example, Back To The Future (I), the version you can buy has all that pop junk in it. The version SST has is the one with all the great orchestral pieces, no pop-songs.
Some of these in the survey have not even been released in their entirety, such as Cast Away. It is only available as a compilation of Silvestri music from other movies (mostly Back To The Future).
I appologize for being dense about this. I was confused because it seemed that all, or most of these were already released.
I'll sit down and shut up now

Well, I guess I'll never vote for this survey until I become a soundtrack freak then. I could vote for my favorite composer but it's not because he is my favorite that I like everything he does. _________________ Always wondered what a French photo album could look like?

How about plain old curiosity, schroddie? For example, only heard Time Machine? What might another Badelt score be like? What might the score to Troy have sounded had they stuck with Yared?
They do say curiosity killed the cat |

Hmm I see, you're a "Snoopy" Dog so you want to kill the cat, huh? Actually I love curiosity. That's how I found this website!
What I meant was that if the composer is really talented, he can compose very different style of music depending on the movie style (although he can also be good in his own style of course and try to adjust his style to the movie). Starting from this, curiosity or not, it's kind of hard to know what the music would sound like. See what I mean? _________________ Always wondered what a French photo album could look like?
