|
I think this only happens when the chat is visible, but i am not sure. anyways, I use firefox and I get this little popup window that says "Java script program" or something to that effect in the title bar. the message says something to the effect of "Click ok below to install IE plugin" the issue is that i get the same popup using IE except the title bar says "Microsoft Internet Explorer", I do not want to click on he buttons so I try to CTRL-ALT-DEL it but it is not in the list, so I click the x in the corner, the damn thing comes back, about 2-5 times each time it pops up, and it is insessant. I finally gave up and clicked cancel and it did the same thing, so I clicked ok, and it came back again! if anyone else is having this problem, please post it here and maybe if you have a solution you can post that too.
Thankyou so much.
ps. sorry about the language, it just makes me so mad because I can not do anything untill it goes away. _________________ Some people like my advice so much that they frame it upon the wall instead of using it.

Hm, thats strange. The chat is pure html output and no plugin is required to use it so I don't think that is what's causing the trouble. Which version of firefox are you using? What is the url (the address in the address bar) when this message appears? If I were you I would do a virus/threat scan with e.g. Norton Antivirus. I'm not too familiar with Firefox but I do know that the net is full of spyware, adware, dialers etc. You never know, and better safe than sorry. _________________ Who is General Failure and why is he reading my disk? |

I have the same pop-up problem when I use IE to visit the site. I ran Norton Antivirus and Ad Aware, and I still get the popups. |

It happens when you run your cursor over one of the fast click ads. It's a bit annoying. I will replace the javascript ads with standard ones. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus
