I wouldn't just have it for all the dead composers. Maybe just for the ones that died in that year. An "In memoriam" day I guess. I guess the first one could include all since it would be kind of rude not to include the composeres who died before this idea came to fruitation.

Well, I'm hoping this year was a fluke. I'd hate to lose that many good composers every year!!

I think that it'd only work well if it was, as XvGojira said, only for the composers who died that year. Otherwise, there are a hella alot of dead composers out there and i don't think that the number is going to go down anytime soon, so it would be a bit too open for a special day.
