|
Hiya all, new here, thanks to Sensei for helping me get straightened up with account problems..
I thought I'd get off on a good foot...
I'd like to see a Pop-up window much like the one at the top of the screen, with all the information that SST's putting out, for those who like to have winamp going, listening to the songs and wondering what the song is, they can just leave that bar at the bottom of their screen. I also would like to maybe see different colors for the bar, so that it matches various color schemes of peoples computers... they're very easy to code, and impliment.
Any thoughts for this one? |

Thats not exactly the litest thing in the world compared to what I've seen other websites doing for their popup now playing thing.. most look like this:
Very flat, simple, with multiple color schemes, like Black, blue, red, orange, simple colors that go well with everything.
The lite popup thing we've got now, is a bit over excessively large, for someone who just wants a very small window with nothing but the now playing, the album cover, and a link to the place to by the ST..

Yup I do.
Sounds like a nice VIP functionality. VIPs dont have ads anyways. So I dont see why not. |

Cal, it's not the VIP's complaining about not seeing the stream - but yes that would be a nice feature for VIPs to have.
I use something called SSTi. But no idea where to get it. _________________ 'He looked at her, and being a man whom pity deeply stirred, it seemed to him that her loveliness amid her grief would pierce his heart.' —Faramir's thoughts on Éowyn |

A new SST-Lite is something I've been wanting to do for a while. I think a VIP and non-VIP version would be the way to go. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Ok, now it's more in the immediate plans. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Excellent news. I'm sure it'll be great. I just wanted to remind you of my prior input.

You can also use Active Desktop for those of you with PCs (I'm not familiar with Macs). It's what I use. On my desktop, I have the Now Playing module resized to a nice small window (~1.5 inches x 7 inches).
For those using WinXP:- click on Customize Desktop... - click OK twice and then click Close after it has finished synchronizing from the Web Don't forget to hit Apply in the Display Properties dialogue box for the changes to come into effect.
Enjoy a nice, simple "lite" version! _________________ "Get it?...Got it!...GOOD!" -- The Court Jester |

Please correct me if I'm wrong... I believe Win 95, 98, 98SE, 2000, ME and NT have this capability as well.
I used to do it for my Win 98SE system at home. _________________ "It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him." ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

Probably, genericdragon. You can do a search online on how to do it for your specific system (for anyone who cares).
