Okay this is a classic - Clips available on amazon
here and here The first says related music, but it's not lyric tracks. The second say original score not sure what the difference is.

Thanks JERIC

I just love how Max Steiner underscored the dialogue scenes in this one. No composer knows how to precisely match the action (and emotions) on the screen like he does. King Kong is great too. We should definitely have more Steiner here.

The father of movie music is arguably Max Steiner. Set up a category please!!

set up a category?

GWTW currently doesn't have a good quality ST available. Sad

Try

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/ref=br_ncs_/102-9046210-6259356

Also I have this one:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005NGXU/qid=1109975466/sr=1-14/ref=sr_1_14/102-9046210-6259356?v=glance&s=music

'Category' would be "Max Steiner" since some of these discs are collections

I'm waiting for a remastered version. The sound quality of the original soundtrack is unacceptable to me.

oooh yes that's understandable Jeric. Has there been any talk of one? It certainly warrants it as a historic piece, and one of Steiner's most recognizable ever.

I haven't heard any talk about it. I'm sure any label will make money doing it though.

I hope they do make a new one. That is a great movie and one of the first really great scores.

Amen to that! Here's hoping they put out a high-quality CD ASAP. It's got my vote!
