darth maul/obi gets my vote.. although I am unsure if the music made that scene for me or the duel was really that great!.. WORKED FOR ME THOUGH! _________________ "Well behaved women seldom make history"-Laurel Ulrich 1976 |

From Face/Off:
Sean Archer vs. Castor Troy, not so much for the action sequence, but all the schtick they throw at each other. _________________ When all else fails, consider time travel.

You all have already mentioned great duel scenes, I like the Princess Bride and Fistful of Dollars stuff too.
Should I be embarrassed about my favourite duel scene ?
Spoiler: All right Cleaver, outside. - I'm sorry? Outside? Should I bring my dueling pistols or my sword?
Bridget Jones' Diary |
It seems like a duell to me: man-to-man fistfight on the street, smashing some stuff, some blood and that all to impress the opposite sex.
Ok, it was not as deadly serious as duels are mostly supposed to be. Well, in fact, it was freaking hilarious. |

That's a good one! Probably the best action movie I have ever seen!
How about Prince Phillip vrs. Malificent in Sleeping Beauty? That was one determined guy And, of course, Luke vrs. the Rancor was always one of my favorite scenes in Star Wars VI. _________________ "Diaper backward spells repaid. Think about it." ~ Marshall McLuhan |

During the boring lecture I had this morning and the half an hour walk home I had enough time to think about some other "worthy" duel scenes.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail: King Arthur choppes up the Black Knight
Far and Away: Irish oaf vs. gentleman
In retrospect I think I only liked the F&A duel scene because of its settings (misty dark forest) and the music (thanks John Williams ) |

Funny enough, I haven't seen all of Sleeping Beauty yet...
Another fun duel sequence? Keith David and Roddy Piper, smacking each other around in John Carpenter's They Live! Hilarious. _________________ When all else fails, consider time travel.

I LOVED Mothra! I love the smell of parylzing power in the morning... *hears deafening screech from somewhere above*
T-800 vs. T-1000. Boy, Robert Patrick was creepy in that one. He gets my vote. _________________ When all else fails, consider time travel.
