You're all way too neat! I simply must get a digital photo of my studio, to show you my cluttered, toy-filled "work" environment. Absolutely too much visual stimulation going on here, but I wouldn't want it any other way! |

We have a LOUSY digital camera at work, so pardon the blurry picture.
This is it! The center for creativity! With NO windows! Talk about a Fortress of Solitude...

Working with no windows for many hours is illegal in the Netherlands.

At least you have a window-like thing in your work area. I've got a roof hatch, but that's it. And I used to work in a basement where the only way to tell what the weather was like was when it rained and the water poured through door at the bottom of the "stair hole".

My "window-like thing" is a dry erase board.

Uh...dry erase board...yeah...I knew that. Actually it looked to me like one of those fake windows with a light behind it, and since you said "NOT a Window!" I guess I'm not the only one who thought it was window-like.
Yeah..."stair hole"...the way we described the cement stairs that decended into the darkness that was our lab from the outside.

What kind of work do you do? I can't see your picture, btw.
Yeah, the board looks like a window in the pic, so I had to point out that I don't have that "luxury"! _________________ Some people are like slinkies.. they are not really good for anything..BUT.. they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs. |

According to my business card, I'm a "Senior Systems Administrator" but that really means I do all forms of system administration and integration. I do anything from traditional datacenter design and construction to designing and operating airborne data collection systems (AKA "the fun part").
As for my picture, my website is down (hardware failure, I think). The owner of the hardware is working on it.

Cool! So you can at least draw a window and a fake landscape on it. And the big plus is that you would choose the neighborhood you would like. _________________ Always wondered what a French photo album could look like?

Funny you mention that, schroddie. My wife drew "Jeff's Window" on my dry erase board. It was raining the day she drew it, so it's always raining outside my window, but the flowers are nice.
