A fun project we could do. Creating a Theme song for Streaming Soundtracks. A visitor would tap in the main address "Streamingsoundtracks.com" and would come to a Flash/Theme cue for the site, and then transported to the main page. A Grand Entrance! I know that there are alot of talanted people here that could concive such theme title. An idea to play around with in the future maybe.

I'm not a fan of flash intros myself, and I fear that it might be a turnoff to those visiting the site.

I don't know about it turning people away from the site. All people react differently. I belive it might even promote the websites statues quo. Then again, we don't have to use flash. This whole Idea of a Theme for SST could just be used as an internal contest perhaps. You know, write a good theme, submit it, vote on it, maybe some sort of DvD/Soundtrack prize?

In general it is 'bad ettiquette' to have intros on webpages.
I am against having one. |

I'm not against the concept of an SST theme song/contest/whatever, but I am against the idea of playing it every time you hit the site, via flash or otherwise.
Personally, I'm usually already playing the stream when I load up the site, so it would only interfere with that.

Forgive me Cal, I must of missed that chapter in my "Internet webpage ettiquette's book" on Intros being bad.

Excellent POD. As he says, Intro's can be skipped in some ways. Speaking for myself, I do not come in thru the front door I.E. main address streamingsoundtracks.com. I have set in my favorites section the URL that goes directly to the Queue page. I am sure that some here enter the site thru other links. You all make it sound like it was a wall, when it could be grand gate!

Interesting idea for the intro... do you have any particular song in mind? I'm so used to hearing Nara in the commercials, I'd almost be apt to suggest it. And like Payable said, intro's can be skipped. Nice idea Furyen

Actually Asriana, I was aiming more for a Theme created just for SST (perhaps by one of our fellow friends here at SST), not one derived from a selected score. But I suppose you could use selected themes from different scores when you come thru the Intro.

Pete is a professional drummer, Pay. I'm not sure how much composing he's done.
Furyen, that would be neat to have an intro by one of our fellow SSTers. Maybe make it a composing competition?
