I thought it would be fun to discuss what everyone thought were the best movies or most enjoyable movies of 2005. Here is a link which shows some of the movies of 2005.

I will let a few people start off this thread and then I will give my opinion. The only rule I recommend is that we confine the list of favorites to movies released in the theater or on DVD in 2005. Hope everyone has fun with this and maybe we will be introduced to some new movies.

- Sin City
- Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
- Crash
- Munich
- Rhythm Is It! (a great documentary feature about 250 youngsters - toddlers and teenagers - in Berlin beeing involved in a big educational project, a dance performance of Stravinsky's "Le Sacre du printemps", organized by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra & Sir Simon Rattle. You have to see it!)
- White Noise (wasn't that bad. Quite entertaining...)
- Sophie Scholl (nominated at the academy awards for best foreign language film this year)

... there were several more, but I can't think of all of them right now... Wink

I really enjoyed Mr. and Mrs. Smith, even though it's not really the best movie of the year. I was in the mood for guns and explosives and whatnot, and it definitely satisfies that.

The Corpse Bride as well was good, and Star Wars of course. Charlie and the Chocolate factory might be my favorite though. I loved it right from the start because that opening theme is amazing.

I probably liked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the best. Johnny Depp did a fantastic job... gee whiz surprise.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith was a fun one, as was Harry Potter 4.

*points at Nate* It's his fault! It wasn't on the movie list! Embarassed Serenity was an awesome movie! Even for those of us who have yet to watch Firefly! Very Happy

Well

King Kong, but that is the only movie I saw in the theater anyway. I can't stand most of it so I vote with my wallet. It may change. Who knows. Not me the product. Loved Kong though.

* Chronicles Of Narnia: by far the best movie.
* Sin City: My biggest surprise of 2005. Thought I didn't like the black and white. Turns out to be one heck of a movie.
* The Island: Not the best of 2005, but to me the most fun movie.
