Over the last few days I have been getting a lot of site lag and was trying to find out if others are experiencing this too. Also curious to know if it is something with SST or if it is an issue on my end. Thanks, Nathan |

I have been getting quite a bit of chat lag. I can type something and it takes a while for it to show in chat. As for music lag, between the site and L365 I have approx 30 sec lag time. Hope that helps! _________________ "Diaper backward spells repaid. Think about it." ~ Marshall McLuhan |

Please be specific on what you mean by lag. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Sometimes you can type something, for example, welcoming someone into chat, and it will take approx. 15+ sec for it to show up in chat. Another thing I've noticed is when I have SST open in 2 seperate windows, one to check the queue, and two to flip through the playlists or forums, I get a lot of lag. It takes quite a bit of time for the site to pull up in the 2nd window, and albums also take a while to come up.
I hope this helps! If you need more information, please let me know _________________ "Diaper backward spells repaid. Think about it." ~ Marshall McLuhan |

This might be because the chat refreshes faster than what you are posting is stored. When you hit the say button and send the data the bottom part of the chat will refresh when the top part has sent the data and reloaded the empty form. If this all happens before the server manages to store what you just posted in the database naturally it won't show up. It might be because the server has a lot of other stuff to do at that exact moment. The chat is set to refresh automatically every 10-15 secs and by then the server will have had lots of time to store your post and it shows up. You can refresh the chat manually by hitting the say-button without entering anything. _________________ Who is General Failure and why is he reading my disk? |

Thanks Sensei! I didn't know about the chat refresh. I'll try that every so often and see if it helps! _________________ "Diaper backward spells repaid. Think about it." ~ Marshall McLuhan |
