I'm still waiting for one of the ladies to mention my favorite movie from the romance genre.
Here's a hint:
Though, it wouldn't surprise me if none of you mainstreamists have seen it... _________________ Who is General Failure and why is he reading my disk? |

No one has mentioned When HArry Met Sally. Titanic makes me cry for all the wrong reasons. I can't watch that movie again. I want to know what Sensei's film is now... is it Romeo and Juliet? Probably not judging by the 'mainstreamists' comment. It does look a bit like Leonardo though... |

Ok, this picture should make it very easy. It's even on the soundtrack cover!

It's Cinema Paradiso, and Sensei is right... it's one of the greatest love stories ever put on screen. |

That's a shame, but it doesn't surprise me. My impression of english speaking people are that you prefer movies in your own language. Residing in a non-english speaking country pretty much everything on TV and at the movies are subtitled here. So I guess watching an italian movie isn't that big of a deal. Am I right? Anyways, a directors cut of Cinema Paradiso was released not long ago and it sheds a lot of light on what really happened and how things turned out. So even if you've seen the original version there's more to be discovered. _________________ Who is General Failure and why is he reading my disk? |

Cinema Paradiso is definitely on my Top 10 list as well. So many wonderful characters and many forms of "love". I understand there's an expanded DVD version that continues the story beyond what we saw in the first release. Is there someone who can tell us more? |
