Howdy,
One Question...
Is it possible to get more Smilys?
Or do i have to become a Vip for that?

Smileys are handled by JERIC and the admins. I'm not sure what is involved in adding new ones. JERIC does sometimes swap out the images for seasonal smileys, though. Also, as far as I know everybody gets the same smileys.

New smilies can be added, but we can't just pick one here and one there. The sizes must be right and of course there's the legal aspect of it. We should also try to keep a certain consistency between the regular and the seasonal sets. If you know of any good smiley sets, please post. As always JERIC has the final word.

but as i can see many people use other smileys than you can choose in the normal chat...
i have the other smileys for messages too, but not for chatting.
i dont know, but i think i´m just too stupid to find them or just vip have them.

There are no special VIP smileys. The "extra" ones you see may be standard ones that people know the text too, but they may not appear in the graphical list. A trick you can use it to cut and paste the text containing the smiley. That should translate it to the underlying word. Surround that with : : and it should work. Try it with your post an the wink smiley. Just surround the work wink with : and it should show up as a smiley.

They are 15x15 pixels in .gif format. You can find a list of smilies here. The current active set is called yellow1.

Well, the yellow/blue combo is traditional here at SST but I guess e.g. orange would be more suitable for halloween? You should talk to JERIC about this though.
