I'd like to propose a theme idea for a week.
That's right, a whole week. Actualy it's three themes done in succinction through the week.
On Monday, play only the Main Theme or Opening Titles from soundtracks. Then for Tues, Wed & Thurs play only selections from the middle of the soundtrack - doesn't matter as long as it isn't the opening or closing tracks. This would then be followed up by playing the Closing or End Credits tracks on Friday.
thoughts, ideas, criticisms, threats?
If we want to do this, I'd propose the week of June 18.

I don't see why we couldn't try this. If enough of us pull together and request, I'm sure other's will fall in line

What about a musical week.
Only musical comedy and classical disney's songs.
I include movies like : 1984's Little Shop of horrors, Phantom of the Paradise (Not available),
Tommy (The Who/Russel Movie) and The wall...
You can add any musical (Wiz of Oz...) you want.

Maybe I should start with this :
No doubt I totally agree with this idea
there is no reason not to try it.
It is inded a good idea.
I'm also keen on "Suites" tracks and other
"End Credits", that's make real sense.

We've done the End Credits and Main Titles days before, on Dec 31 and Jan 1.
As for Evans musical week idea? One word: MUTE.

This sounds like a fun idea. I think it would work.

I'd go along with the all "Opening Titles", "End Credits" day theme if we pick a date.  All musicals? I'd tune it, but I'm one raindrop in the sea. :p |

Well, it looks like the support for this is pretty good.... so here's what I propose:
The week of July 17 - 21
Why the lengthy start date?
1) Gives time to get the word out
2) Gives enough time to clear out requests so songs will be available
3) There's a holiday comming up in the US... people will be comming & going.
The rules:
There are only two with an optional third
1) On Monday July 17, only songs that are played during opening credits are to be played. The title of the track may or may not be "Main Title"... it doesn't matter, as long as it's the track that plays during the opening credits.
2) On Friday July 21, only closing credit tracks are played. Again, it doesn't matter what the name is, as long as it's the track that plays during closing credits.
3) Option - on Tues thru Thurs, play everything else in between.
Other than that there's no limits. I want to make this as simple as possible.

We've been trying the Main Titles track today. It seems to be going well, so I don't see why we couldn't do this more often.
I think it would still be neat to do a color's day - any track name or title with a color in it.
